The Shack Bible Project

Yes, you read that right. Get on your heavy mud gear as Apprising Ministries takes you off-road mentally mudding deeply into the postmodern Wonderland of Humpty Dumpty language where the meanings of words descend into its muck and mire.

In Mike Morrell On Matthew Fox, John Wimber, And The Emerging Church I introduced you to Mike Morrell, who’s a networker in the sinfully ecumenical cult of the Emergent Church aka the Emerging Church. [1]

There you saw that Morrell fancies himself as a:

Futurist @KedgeForward. Grad Fellow, Strategic Foresight MA @RegentU. Provocateur-In-Residence, David Group Int’l. Journalist. Nu-media publicist. Opti-mystic. (Online source)

Morrell is also “Partner/Foresight Professional” for something called KedgeForward, whose KedgeForward blog, which I first cited in Richard Rohr And The Emerging Church As The Third Way, and it does prove to be most enlightening. [2]

Promoting Contemplative SPIRITUALITY/MYSTICISM ok in Southern Baptist Convention

By

on Jul 14, 2011

Lately I’ve written pieces like “Good” Experiences Aren’t Necessarily From God and Supernatural Gatherings In The New Downgrade here at this online apologetics and discernment work Apprising Ministries showing the sad slide of largely pretending to be Protestant evangelicalism and the growing falling away of the mainstream visible Christian community.

I’ve been documenting all of this for you as well as giving you much evidence of the apostatizing evangelical camp embarking on a spiritual game of Russian roulette by embracing highly subjective Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism (CSM).

This is the type of Reformation-reversing so-called Spiritual Formation that’s being taught by Living Spiritual Teacher and Quaker mystic Richard Foster along with his spiritual twin and Southern Baptist minister Dallas Willard in their festering cult of Foster-Willardism.

Word Faith Heretic Cindy Trimm receives award from Billy Graham Evangelistic Ass

By Ken Silva pastor-teacher

on Jun 22, 2011

While spiritual darkness continues to creep across apostatizing evangelicalism in The New Downgrade, a major part of my commission as pastor-teacher here Apprising Ministries becomes helping to apprise you of developing trends within the church visible during this time parallel to Amos 8:11-12. As a leading online apologetics and discernment labor in the Lord, for the time I may have left, I’ll continue reminding you about the vital importance of the proper Christian spirituality of sola Scriptura; as in recent pieces like Apprising Ministries Hits Mark On The Wild Goose Festival, Critical To Know Your Bible! and Jay Bakker, Homosexuality, And Gospel Reductionism.

You need to know that there’s a rapidly growing syncretism—combining of beliefs, e.g. Chrislam; and adhering to what the text of the Bible actually says is our safest course now that myriad serpentine deceptions are slithering deeply into the mainstream evangelical camp. Much of this can traced to the perverted practice of critical thinking skills-numbing corrupt Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism (CSM), such as that taught by Living Spiritual Teacher and Quaker mystic Richard Foster along with his spiritual twin and Southern Baptist minister Dallas Willard. Again, another bad by-product of evangelicalism’s embrace of the sinfully ecumenical neo-liberal cult of the Emergent Church aka the Emerging Church, of which that dubious duo were key mentors.

Is There Power in the Blood of the Pope?

By Dr. Paul M. Elliott

May 1, 2011 ─ In scenes evoking old Bela Lugosi vampire movies and trampling the blood of Christ underfoot, Pope Benedict XVI, along with officials of the Roman Catholic church-state and a crowd of 1.5 million, worshipped the body, blood, and images of Pope John Paul II during beatification ceremonies at the Vatican. More than fifty heads of state were present for the ceremony. At the end of this article are pictures of the macabre ritual.

The Worship of Saints

The ceremony marked a major step in the Vatican’s move to confer the status of “sainthood” on the dead Pope. Roman Catholicism practices what it calls the veneration of saints. In Roman Catholic terminology it is called “the cult of the saints”. Rome encourages a level of devotion to so-called saints that can truly be called worship, and in fact Roman Catholic literature speaks of the worship of saints.

Deliverance: From Error to the Truth, Part 1

John MacArthur- Grace to You

Well, as I said last week, I have taken a bit of a diversion from our study of the gospel of Luke. I warned you a few weeks in advance that I was prompted to write a book on the subject of deliverance because the theology of deliverance which is so intensely biblical is so completely neglected today. And when I was away for a couple of weeks in Italy, it really began to weigh heavy on my mind that I needed to address this subject. And so it became like Jeremiah, fire in my bones and I can’t go back to the gospel of Luke until I have delivered my soul on the subject of deliverance.

As I said last week, and I would just encourage you, if you weren’t here last week to get the tape and listen because what I said last week is essential and foundational to this discussion. It’s not one of those messages that’s sort of optional, it’s a mandatory theme to be understood by all of us. So if you didn’t hear the message, you certainly can pick up the tape out at the tape center today.

How to Treat False Teachers, Part 2

John MacArthur – Grace to You

1 Timothy 1:7-11

Let’s open our Bibles this morning to 1 Timothy chapter 1.  We’re looking again at verses 3 through 11.  The opening charge that is given from the Apostle Paul to Timothy to carry out a work in the church and the region around the church in Ephesus.

Now as I mentioned last time, the primary objective that Paul has in mind with Timothy in the writing of this epistle is to encourage Timothy to bring the church to a place of sound doctrine and godly living.  He is concerned about the impact of false teachers, not only what they say but what they model by way of a life style.  And he is greatly concerned that Timothy reverse the impact of these false teachers.  In so writing to Timothy he has left us a letter which all of us in the church of Jesus Christ today, or in any era, can benefit from because we all face the same potential encroachment of false teaching and unholy living.

How to Treat False Teachers, Part 1

John MacArthur – Grace to You

1 Timothy 1:3-6

Turn in your Bible to the first chapter of 1 Timothy.  We have recently begun a study of 1 Timothy.  We’ve had a couple of messages getting started, looking at the introduction, and now we come in this next section to verses 3 through 11.  This section has to do with dealing with false teachers.  I want us to take verses 3 through 11 as a unit, but we’re going to divide it between two weeks, this Lord’s day and next.

Let me introduce our study today by reminding you of something I’m sure you’re very much aware of.  In John’s gospel chapter 8 and verse 44, it reminds us that Satan is not only a murderer but Satan is also a liar.  One of the manifestations of the lying intent of Satan is the proliferation of false teachers that besiege the gospel and the church through all the history of the church’s life.  False prophets and false teachers are a part and parcel of the battle the church has to fight in every age.

VISIBLE CHURCH IN AN ACCELERATING APOSTASY

Ken Silva, pastor-teacher –  Apprising Ministries.

Let me tell you something that I have learned; I know the liberals. I know them well; I was one of them. And they are the most dangerous, insidious, and all-pervading cult that’s loose in the United States right at this moment.

They make the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and the Mormons, and all of the Mind Sciences, and the Occult, look like Sunday School teachers. Do you know why? Because these other people are outside the Church; and these devils are in it! And they’re doing it in Jesus’ Name.

They do not believe the Trinity; they do not believe the Deity of Christ; they do not believe the Virgin Birth; they do not believe the vicarious atonement; they do not believe the Bodily resurrection, and they have grave doubts about whether Jesus will ever come back again, and that the Bible is itself the Word of God. Yet I could give you a list of them that infest—and that’s the proper word—infest our theological seminaries; and our church related schools, and our denominations.
