Destined to Reign ……. BUT WHERE ?

Beware !! of Joseph Prince (Televangelists ) Teachings !!! He also teaches Antinomianism (see below for more details)

Galatians 6: 7 “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”

You may recognize his picture or have seen him on television. Joseph Prince is a “ MegaStar” televangelist of today.  He delivers his messages with “fire” and with “confidence.”  For the most part, he really captures a persons attention.  He appears to really know the Word of God like no others. He is very appealing.  His message is also very appealing. “Effortless Success and Grace” is the message that he preaches and boldly declares. It has been reported that his birth name was changed to Joseph Prince from Xenonamandar Jegahusiee Singh.

Many who follow Joseph Prince and his “Effortless Grace” teaching will pay the ultimate price—lost for eternity and separated from God.

This is the same old lie that Satan told Eve when he convinced her that deliberate sin could go unpunished.

A sampling of Joseph Prince’s false teachings:

Nothing but blessings for the believer
No longer a need to be concerned about God’s Judgment
Repentance and confession of sin is never necessary
Wealth is for all Christians
God is continually restoring “New Truths” to the church—-New Revelations
Prince’s personal revelation from God is: “More grace; less judgment”
Prince believes that God WILL NOT JUDGE America because of the cross
The Moral law has no bearing on Christians today; it was abolished with the Ceremonial law
Prince says that he never encountered anyone that said “now I can go out and sin because of grace”
Repentance means “Only to turn around”

I could continue to quote more of his false (anti-biblical) teachings, but I feel that the above sampling should be enough to see that he is a false teacher. The best innoculation against false teaching and teachers is to “know the Word of God” for yourself.

Lets be like the good Berean’s  and search the Scripures daily to see if it was so.

Acts 17:11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

1John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Joseph Prince, like so many other televangelist, is preaching a “different gospel” a “feel good gospel”. He is preaching what the 21st century Christians want to hear. It sounds so…good! (http://www.forgottenword.org/joseph-prince.html)

2Timothy 4:3-4 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, (4) and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

In his book Destined to Reign p.271 he is giving thanks to God for Kenneth Hagin and what he has learned from him. He is even saying that Kenneth Hagin is a man of God. He also says that it is due to Kenneth Hagin that he can see more clearly into the Word of God and that Hagin had a special revelation of faith from God. (Thank you Jaco for the picture below)

Who was Ken Hagin ?

Kenneth Hagin was a False Teacher & False Prophet. He was known as the“Father of the Modern Faith Movement”. He had numerous False Prophecies;Taught False Teachings of: Word of Faith; Prosperity gospel; saying Christians are“little Gods” and many more unbiblical things. Kenneth Hagin died on: 9/23/03.

  • Jer 23:30-32 The Lord says, “I am AGAINST these PROPHETS who STEAL MESSAGES fromEACH OTHER and CLAIM they are from ME. I am AGAINST these SMOOTH-TONGUED PROPHETS who say, ‘THIS PROPHECY IS FROM THE LORD!’ I am AGAINST these FALSE PROPHETS. Their IMAGINARY DREAMS are FLAGRANT LIES that LEAD MY PEOPLE INTO SIN. I did NOT SEND OR APPOINT THEM, and they have NO MESSAGE at all for MY PEOPLE. I, THE LORD HAVE SPOKEN!”  (http://www.so4j.com/)

Antinomianism Short Definition:

Antinomianism is the teaching that under the gospel, the moral law is of no use nor are Christians obligated to keep it.

So in other words, according to Joseph Prince, a Christian can accept Christ and live a life of sin and for the flesh because he/she is already forgiven and there is no need to live “holy and blameless” as the Apostle Paul admonished us to do in 1 Thessalonians 4:7: “For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.  Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God., who give his Holy Spirit it you.”[ESV]

You may be saying, “I heard Prince say just the opposite in a sermon.”  Yes, there seems to be a “double-speak” coming through his sermons at times also.  He is clearly in the Word of Faith Movement which is made up of many of the most well-known televangelists.   The Word of Faith Movement teaches ”grave”  biblical error to say the very least.

If you listen to Joseph Prince and “cannot see ” what this article is pointing out; then I would suggest that you take a Basic Course in Biblical Doctrines.  Prince is attractive and winsome. Do not follow because of personality but follow those that teach “sound doctrine.” ( 2 Timothy 4:3-5)  ”For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine….”

“What is antinomianism?”

Answer: The word antinomianism comes from two Greek words, anti, meaning “against”; and nomos, meaning “law.” Antinomianism means “against the law.” Theologically, antinomianism is the belief that there are no moral laws God expects Christians to obey. Antinomianism takes a biblical teaching to an unbiblical conclusion. The biblical teaching is that Christians are not required to observe the Old Testament Law as a means of salvation. When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He fulfilled the Old Testament Law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:15). The unbiblical conclusion is that there is no moral law God expects Christians to obey.

The Apostle Paul dealt with the issue of antinomianism in Romans 6:1-2, “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?” The most frequent attack on the doctrine of salvation by grace alone is that it encourages sin. People may wonder, “If I am saved by grace and all my sins are forgiven, why not sin all I want?” That thinking is not the result of true conversion because true conversion yields a greater desire to obey, not a lesser one. God’s desire—and our desire when we are regenerated by His Spirit—is that we strive to not sin, out of gratitude for His grace and forgiveness. God has given us His infinitely gracious gift in salvation through Jesus (John 3:16; Romans 5:8). Our response is to consecrate our lives to Him out of love, worship, and gratitude for what He has done for us (Romans 12:1-2). Antinomianism is unbiblical in that it misapplies the meaning of God’s gracious favor.

A second reason that antinomianism is unbiblical is that there is a moral law God expects us to obey. 1 John 5:3 tells us, “This is love for God: to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome.” What is this law God expects us to obey? It is the law of Christ – “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:37-40). No, we are not under the Old Testament Law. Yes, we are under the law of Christ. The law of Christ is not an extensive list of legal codes. It is a law of love. If we love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, we will do nothing to displease Him. If we love our neighbors as ourselves, we will do nothing to harm them. Obeying the law of Christ is not a requirement to earn or maintain salvation. The law of Christ is what God expects of a Christian.

Antinomianism is contrary to everything the Bible teaches. God expects us to live a life of morality, integrity, and love. Jesus Christ freed us from the burdensome commands of the Old Testament Law, but that is not a license to sin, but rather a covenant of grace. We are to strive to overcome sin and cultivate righteousness, depending on the Holy Spirit to help us. The fact that we are graciously freed from the demands of the Old Testament Law should result in our living our lives in obedience to the law of Christ. 1 John 2:3-6 declares, “We know that we have come to know Him if we obey His commands. The man who says, ‘I know Him,’ but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys His word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in Him: Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did.”

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.  On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord,Lord,’ did we not prophecy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name? And then will I declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.”  Matthew 7:21-23 [ESV]

  1. My husband has been following Prince’s Grace message for several years now. I do not share in this message and although I am a Christian I have personally experienced difficulty in my own household because of his beliefs. Today I was attacked verbally by one of my husband’s Facebook “Grace Community” friends for not yet being enlightened. They act like you aren’t even truly saved if you don’t buy into their doctrines. Pray for me as my life has become quite difficult lately in light of all this.

We sure will keep you in our prayers. The only way a believer can be enlightened, is to read and study the Word off God, be like the Berean’s and see if what they say are so.

We read in Romans ,that those who reject the Word is under judgement.

Romans 1:26-32 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,[a] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,[b] unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

1John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Sadly it is evident that those who speak the truth in love , will not be well received by those who are deceived and into false teachings. We pray for them, that the Lord willing ,opens their eyes and grants them discernment. Read and study the Word all the time Eph 4:14-15 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. (15) Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,

Gills Bible commentary explains ; Ephesians 4:15
But speaking the truth in love,…. Either Christ himself, who is the truth, and is to be preached, and always spoken of with strong affection and love; or the Gospel, the word of truth, so called in opposition to that which is false and fictitious; and also to the law, which is shadowish; and on account of its author, the God of truth, and its subject matter, Christ, and the several doctrines of grace; and because the spirit of truth has dictated it, and does direct to it, and owns and blesses it: this, with respect to the ministers of the Gospel, should be spoken openly, honestly, and sincerely, and in love to the souls of men, and in a way consistent with love, in opposition to the secret, ensnaring, and pernicious ways of false teachers; and with respect to private Christians, as they are to receive it in love, so to speak of it to one another from a principle of love, and an affectionate concern for each other’s welfare, to the end that they may grow up into him in all things which is the head, even “Christ”: the work of grace upon the soul is a gradual work, and an increase of this in the exercise of faith, hope, love, and spiritual knowledge, is a growth; and this is a growth in all things, in all grace, as in those mentioned, so in others, as humility, patience, self-denial, resignation of the will to the will of God, and especially the knowledge of Christ; for it is a growing into him, from whom souls receive all their grace and increase of it; for he is the head of influence to supply them, as well as the head of eminence to protect them; see Eph_1:22 and now the preaching of the Gospel, or the sincere speaking of the truth, is the instrumental means of such growth.

stand strong. 1Co 16:13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

      Grace and peace

    • My wife is now reading Joseph Prince books and it is causing trouble in our house. She told me the other day God loves you and is never disappointed in you. I beleive God does loves me but he is disappointed in me when I sin. I am very troubled with never having to confess your sins. Seems like we are not ever responsible for our actions.

I am sorry to hear and I can understand it causing problems. Joseph Prince preaches another gospel and feel good message and he is antinomian also. I pray the Lord gives you strength to stand up in your home as the man and head of the house. For Christ is the head of the church and man is the head of his home. Your being troubled is not unfounded.

Here is a very valid quote by a good solid old time Bible teacher.

“We need to be straitly warned, that it is no light matter whether we repent or not. We need to be reminded, that there is a hell as well as a heaven, and an everlasting punishment for the wicked, as well as everlasting life for the godly. We are fearfully apt to forget this. We talk of the love and mercy of God, and we do not remember sufficiently His justness and holiness. Let us be very careful on this point. It is no real kindness to keep back the terrors of the Lord. It is good for us all to be taught that it is possible to be lost forever, and that all unconverted people are hanging over the brink of the pit.”

  3. There has rarely been a more self-centered and successful “rock star” heretic in the history of the church, than Joseph Prince. He is so charismatic (in the wrong way, of course) and his stage presence is so appealing that I sometimes find myself being entertained by the guy. His message is certainly very dangerous and his track record speaks wonders of the unregenerate and seeker sensitive world. Based simply on the vast number of believers who are crying out in desperation due to the destructive effect this guy’s heretical message has had on their lives and families in so many ways, he must be called out by name, by God’s children. What a pity. What a terrible pity.

  4. Contending what joseph prince teaches on the doctrine of grace ……. It is antinomianism or the doctrine that holds that one does not need to follow the moral law of god.

The bible teaches that the work of Christ justifies us or declares us to be positionally righteous before god, in other words being rendered forgiven….therefore enabling the spirit of grace ,the Holy Spirit to enter our beings , and to enable us to keep the law out of a regenerated spirit…..the spirit of grace helps us when we stumble again and again and keep coming back to him with a repentant heart… As the process of sanctification is carried out…….the continually sinning Christian soon comes to realization that he loves the law of god as it is gods nature, and that is what god truly aspires all mankind to be….holy like He is……….. But we also know that it is impossible for the man to keep gods law….. And that only by surrendering to the spirit of god and working together with the Holy Spirit is the law written on the tablet of ones heart……the process of sustaining grace carrying the man over a period of time , to bring about a change of attitude, mindset and victory over sin…….for this is the only evidence that we are being progressively sanctified…….. There has to be a visible change in each of us over the course of time…….

Antinomianism is a copout. The bible talks about antinomianism vs sustaining grace everywhere. ……Romans, Corinthians, Thessalonians…….. Hence I cant understand why these antinomians can believe a lie……..when scriptures truly speaks against it. Is it because one wants to copout of the truth so much he is willing to believe in a lie

What is scary is the following text tells us what is going to happen to the antinomians………2nd Thessalonians 2:6-11 talks about the mystery of lawlessness………and the spirit of restraint. Lawlessness is clearly a heart of rebellion which a non believer exhibits. But in the Christian context lawlessness is antinomianism. Bible calls it a mystery…….. And says that this mystery….. A deception …..almost is at work against he minds of Christians……… Bible also says….the spirit of restraint or the Holy Spirit actually restrains something….. That something I believe is the judgement of god on the lawless …… I believe the spirit of restraint also sets a boundary so that the son of lawlessness or perdition does not come into power wreaking more havoc, displacing one s freedom of choice and liberty…….for the Holy Spirit is the spirit of liberty , giving a person a choice of free will…..The bible also says the spirit of restraint will be taken out of the way….. which will enable the son of perdition to rise to power…………

Here is the warning for the antinomian….. Please declare this to them so that the remnant will come to repentance ….and pray before hand that they be delivered tom this spirit of delusion.

    Read on……….2nd Thessalonians 2:.6…..

And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

While I cannot agree with everything you have said in your comment here, nevertheless, I have approved it. 2nd Thessalonians 2:6-12 is certainly true and correct. I think you are trying to say many different things, in many ways, but in a short space which cannot accommodate it all at once. At least, that is what I have been able to gather from your comment.

I can also see that you are firmly set against antinomianism. Possibly, you need to distinguish more clearly, between that which constitutes antinomianism and lawlessness. Added to that, think clearly on the role that salvation, by faith through grace in Christ, plays in the life of both the antinomian and the lawless.

      Be blessed.

  5. I am in no way a follower of Joseph Prince. I don’t care for him or follow any man for that matter. I disagree with him on many aspects. But i think you really misunderstand grace. Under Grace we are saved. Being a law keeper was and always will be a failure for man.

The issue here that i believe you misunderstand is that we aare in no way justified before God by keeping old covenant laws. Grace means you are justified by what Jesus did on that cross. Paul speaks a lot of it in Galatians 3.

Christianity is about abiding. Jesus, while on earth abided in the Father. He said in John his miracles and words were not his but the Fathers.Even though he could have done and said that. Paul as he matured said what? It is no longer him livin g but Christ living through him. That is the goal of the Christian life, along with 1st John 2:27. The Holy Spirit being your teacher and that you need no man to teach you.

So is the presense of the Holy Spirit inside you real to you? If what God’s word states is true within the Covenants, then how would we go against God’s wishes or laws if Jesus is living through us? Well we still will from time to time because we are human. I dont care for letting any man be other than someone I could share back aand forth with.

There are many scriptures where it says the law is dead, meaning being justified by it. Paul getting on Peter for his part in some Jewish laws. Then also the scripture saying the law was never given to the gentiles, to the point of why the law was even originally given.

Lets see if we misunderstand each other

      You say :

But i think you really misunderstand grace. Under Grace we are saved. Being a law keeper was and always will be a failure for man.

Here is my understanding of Grace : Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, (9) not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

      Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved,…. This is to be understood, not of temporal salvation, nor of preservation in Christ, nor of providential salvation in order to calling, and much less of being put in a way of salvation, or only in a salvable state; but of spiritual salvation, and that actual; for salvation was not only resolved upon, contrived and secured in the covenant of grace, for the persons here spoken to, but it was actually obtained and wrought out for them by Christ, and was actually applied unto them by the Spirit; and even as to the full enjoyment of it, they had it in faith and hope; and because of the certainty of it, they are said to be already saved; and besides, were representatively possessed of it in Christ their head: those interested in this salvation, are not all mankind, but particular persons; and such who were by nature children of wrath, and sinners of the Gentiles; and it is a salvation from sin, Satan, the law, its curse and condemnation, and from eternal death, and wrath to come; and includes all the blessings of grace and glory; and is entirely owing to free grace: for by grace is not meant the Gospel, nor gifts of grace, nor grace infused; but the free favour of God, to which salvation in all its branches is ascribed; as election, redemption, justification, pardon, adoption, regeneration, and eternal glory: the Syriac, Arabic, and Ethiopic versions read, “by his grace”, and so some copies; and it may refer to the grace of all the three Persons; for men are saved by the grace of the Father, who drew the plan of salvation, appointed men to it, made a covenant with his Son, in which it is provided and secured, and sent him into the world to obtain it; and by the grace of the Son, who engaged as a surety to effect it, assumed human nature, obeyed and suffered in it for that purpose, and has procured it; and by the grace of the Spirit, who makes men sensible of their need of it, brings it near, sets it before them, and applies it to them, and gives them faith and hope in it: hence it follows,

through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; salvation is through faith, not as a cause or condition of salvation, or as what adds anything to the blessing itself; but it is the way, or means, or instrument, which God has appointed, for the receiving and enjoying it, that so it might appear to be all of grace; and this faith is not the produce of man’s free will and power, but it is the free gift of God; and therefore salvation through it is consistent with salvation by grace; since that itself is of grace, lies entirely in receiving grace and gives all the glory to the grace of God: the sense of this last clause may be, that salvation is not of ourselves; it is not of our desiring nor of our deserving, nor of our performing, but is of the free grace of God: though faith is elsewhere represented as the gift of God, Joh_6:65 and it is called the special gift of faith, in the Apocrypha:

“And blessed is the eunuch, which with his hands hath wrought no iniquity, nor imagined wicked things against God: for unto him shall be given the “special gift of faith”, and an inheritance in the temple of the Lord more acceptable to his mind.” (Wisdom 3:14)

—– (I asked the following question from a Greek and Hebrew professor:

“In this verse, to what does the word “that” refer to? Adam Clarke, Wesley & company say that it is neuter plural and “Faith” is feminine hence it cannot refer to faith, (Such an admission would destroy their theological system.) However “Grace” is also feminine as is “Salvation”.”

      His reply was:

“Here you ask a wonderful theological/exegetical question to which I can only give an opinion, and not a definitive answer. The problem is that there is NO precise referent. Grace is feminine. Faith is feminine. And even Salvation (as a noun) is feminine. Yet it must be one of these three at least, and maybe more than one, or all three in conjunction. Since all three come from God and not from man, the latter might seem the more likely. However, it is a tautology to say salvation and grace are “nor of yourselves,” and in that case it certainly looks more like the passage is really pointing out that man cannot even take credit for his own act of faith, but that faith was itself created by God and implanted in us that we might believe (i.e. the normal Calvinistic position). In which regard the whole theological issue of “regeneration preceding faith” comes into play. So, that is basically my opinion, though others obviously disagree strenuously, but from an exegetical standpoint, the other positions have to explain away the matter of the tautology.”

Whether you accept the reply or not, it is sufficient to show that the Greek is not as definitive in this verse as some scholars would have you believe. Editor)

      “BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS!”
ANOTHER MARK BY WHICH FALSE PROPHETS MAY BE IDENTIFIED
      Matthew 7:15

The Lord Jesus Christ warns us repeatedly to “Beware of false prophets!” There are many, many reasons for this warning; but one prominent reason is this: — False prophets proclaim cheap grace, not free and sovereign grace, but cheap and meaningless grace. So hear the warning and pay heed it.

“Beware of false prophets!” Here is another characteristic, another identifying mark set forth in Holy Scripture by which false prophets may be readily unmasked and exposed. I want you to give me your undivided attention for just another four minutes and carefully search the Scriptures to see whether or not what I tell you is the truth. I want you to check everything I say with the Word of God. If what I say is not clearly revealed in this Book, then do not hear me today and do not hear me ever again. But if what I have to say comes directly out of the Book of God, you must either hear me now or wish you had heard me when judgment day comes. Here is another mark by which false prophets are identified. — False prophets make salvation much cheaper than our Lord does (Luke 18:18-27; 14:25-33).

      True Christianity

If you asked me, “What does it cost to be a Christian?” My answer would be this: — “Nothing from you, but all of you!” That is exactly what our Lord told those who came to him, wanting to be numbered among his disciples.

True Christianity is much more than a religious decision, a moral reformation, a fit of religious excitement, believing a creed, or giving assent to certain facts. True Christianity is the surrender of your heart, the willing, voluntary surrender of your heart to the dominion of Christ as your rightful Lord. Faith, true faith involves surrender. I do not mean that you must make the Son of God your Lord, or let him be your Lord. Jesus Christ is your Lord. You have nothing to do with that. But faith gladly surrenders to his dominion as Lord.

This is what the Lord Jesus declared to the rich young ruler; and this what he declares to us all. This surrender is so contrary to man’s heart and nature, so contrary to man’s natural depravity and enmity against God that when the disciples heard what our Master required of that rich young ruler, they said, “Who then can be saved?” They knew that no man could or would, by nature, of his own will, surrender to the dominion of Christ. Then, the Lord Jesus taught us the great fact that with men salvation is utterly impossible; but he who is the God of all grace can and shall make his people willing in the day of his power. God almighty can save any man, for “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God!”

      No Surrender No Salvation

Faith in Christ involves surrender to Christ as your Lord. Until you have surrendered to him, you have not believed on him. To believe him is to trust him as your Lord to save you, to possess you, yours, and all that you have for his own glory, to rule you, and to dispose of all things as he sees fit. God help you now to trust Christ as your Lord. Amen.

  8. This is an e-mail which was sent to me from Larry James, who seems to be pretty close to where Joseph Prince launches his attacks on the Gospel. Included are certain links which he supplied which might be of assistance to those who are interested in accessing more detail on this subject.
Thank you Larry for forwarding this message to us:

If Nazi Germany (1933-1945), a so-called Christian nation, could be deluded by a charismatic leader such as Adolf Hitler who implemented “the final solution of the Jewish question” wherein some 6 million Jews were culled, what more when bible-believing saints of today hold the LORD GOD hostage to His Word by their legitimate claims upon scripture–if only unwittingly–so that the Lord grants them their hearts desire: so-called anointed apostolic leaders that gradually displace God as Father, King and Teacher. 1 Samuel 8:7 And the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. 1 John 2:26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. The following article written by yours truly is likewise accompanied by an illustration of the Beast of Revelation 13. WORD-FAITH PANDEMIC. Here in cosmopolitan Singapore we have our fair share of a different gospel running the gamut of local churches (Galatians 1:6-10; 2 Corinthians 11:4). As a matter of fact I’ve even attended New Creation Church for two and a half years as part of an ecclesiastical study apart from serving. Whilst in the pews of a hyper grace seeker-sensitive church, I’ve heard the sounds of perversity from the horse’s mouth–Joseph Prince himself–and his minions twisting scripture that is sadly regurgitated by mindless shepherds to their sheep at home cell units. With the likes of Word-Faith proponents such as Matt Crouch, Richard Roberts, Kenneth Hagin, Judah Smith, Darlene Z etc. gracing the stage, imagine that after JP’s debut at Osteen’s Lakewood Church in 2011, a home cell leader could actually ask us, “Do you think its ok to adore Ps Prince?” No, that’s not the straw that broke the camel’s back. Imagine the superstitious embrace of the Eucharist and the anointing oil for the miraculous if not grotesque–should one heed their promptings that ply the crude and silly. Furthermore, should one duly discern, JP’s focus on the bane of the Law is all but a distraction and a cop-out from a sincere exegesis of the Gospel and Pauline epistles in its entirety. Just as conjured parallels between Judaism and Islam seem amazing, amazing yet is one who preaches Jesus with a different gospel and misses Him entirely! What more then when the nation boasts of yet another heretic that has some 36,000 sheep under his watchful gaze–Kong Hee of City Harvest Church. Cho Yonggi, Benny Hinn and Phil Pringle are but the few that have hitched this wagon to only God knows where. Isn’t it amazing that God had vouchsafe for the worthless even though all nations before Him are as nothing, and they are counted by Him less than nothing and worthless (Isaiah 40:17)? Should USA be judged, she’s better off alphabetically. Should the scales fall from the eyes of the deluded, they will vomit the filth fed by these hireling shepherds that have crept in unawares to pollute every nook and cranny of the body of Christ. For that matter, Beyonce’s performance at Super Bowl 2013 can hardly differ depicting the deluded, be it the masses or a select few, that are ushered in rank and file, week in and week out to unwittingly channel in their alter ego plying the pulpit and yet be harnessed by deceit for merchandise. Madness. Or better yet the caption that says ‘Think–while its still legal!’ Never mind the gainsayers, should it baffle us when some make a defense of their pet heretic if only to confirm their delusion? Know that for every gainsayer, there are dozens more who are unbending in the pure Word of God. I can put up signs to warn you but no further than the fiery Pit. Just get the full Monty out folks–before its way too late! ~ Larry James, Singapore.

Rev. 22:12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” 14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. 16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.

‘I totally agree with what you have to say!’ LT. [Lawrence Theodore Jeyachandran] Executive Director in Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (Asia-Pacific) April 2003-September 2012.

‘Dear Larry, Thank you for your very insightful article into the errors & fallacies in many modern churches and so called preachers of faith. Blessings!’ Rev Alfred Ang Cheng Kiat (Emeritus Pastor) Emmanuel Assembly of God, Singapore

‘Dear Larry James, Thank you for this article. I have been very concerned about this issue for a very long time. These are some good places for further reflections [websites]. And many more that you know. Thank you once again my friend!’ Ps. Pritam Singh Sandhu – South Asian Connection Founder/ President. Singapore

‘Very well said, James…God has opened your eyes and at the same time also in His Grace allowed you to attend these places of worship to idols to observe and discern correctly. God is exposing a lot of leaders in the Church today but at the same time is also testing the hearts of their followers. God allows this to test his people. Great you came out of the woodwork! May you continue to be led by the Holy Spirit and preach an uncompromising Gospel of Jesus Christ onto Salvation and pray for all men to come and know the Truth, especially leaders and His people. For His Glory alone,’ Ps Jan Clierinck, RCCG Singapore

The Fresh Prince – Destined To Ruin by Lance Goodall, CWM Ministries, 12/6/12 (Joseph) Prince is preaching a different Jesus, another gospel…and although he’s articulate, charismatic, convincing, and preaching ‘grace’; he is a blind leader of the blind, leading astray the unlearned and unstable. He is at best a false apostle, and at worst a conniving HERETIC! (2 Corinthians 11:12-15; 2 Peter 3:16).

Joseph Prince and his message of radical grace – PLUS his word faith teachings. Let Us Reason Ministries http://www.letusreason.org/Popteach56.htm Many see Prince as an excellent communicator. But what exactly is he communicating? At first it seems he is focused on God’s grace, but there is a mixture. Many in Asia may not be aware of these issues on doctrine so we might have to begin at ground level to make sense on why what he stating is BIBLICALLY WRONG and can be hazardous to ones spiritual health. There are those who say: anyone who criticizes Prince has not listened to what he preaches. So we should go over what he preaches and what he has written to see what is of grace, what is exaggerated to be error and what is of word faith. We will have a copious amount of quotes through this article series… (also Pt.2 Grace, and the lack of personal accountability for sin)

  9. There are so many inaccuracies in this attack article. Joseph Prince has never said that the Law was abolished, he said it was fulfilled by Christ. He has never said that he never knew of anyone that used this as a licence to sin. In fact he has said that if some should use grace as an excuse to continue in sin, they were not under grace. Joseph prince believes in repentance and. Confessions of sins at the time of salvation. He believes that wealth is part of the atonment: “Though being rich, He became poor for our sakes, that through His poverty we would be made rich.” This happened at the cross. He hung there naked, He had nothing. Beware of people who write these articles, they ussually have an axe to grind. They think there “ministry” is destroy other peoples’ ministries.

    Thank you for commenting.

I have only one question for now in this regard: “What kind of wealth do you believe Jesus was talking about, and what kind of wealth was Joseph Prince talking about?”

No man will be able to destroy another’s ministry if that ministry was called into existence by God. They might have a lot to say about someone in that ministry, but if the ministry is God’s ministry and the minister bases all his work on the Word of God, he is covered by the armour and weaponry described in Ephesians 6: 13-18.

    Greetings
