A.W. Tozer

To take Jesus Christ into your life without reservation is to accept His friends as your friends and to know that His enemies will be your enemies! It means that we accept His rejection as our rejection. We knowingly accept His cross as our cross. If you then find

yourself in an area where Christ has no friends, you will be friendless-except for the one Friend who will stick closer than a brother. I made up my mind a long time ago. Those who declare themselves enemies of Jesus Christ must look upon me as their enemy, and I ask no quarter from them! And if they are friends of Christ they are my friends-and I do not care what color they are or what denomination they belong to. If the preachers would faithfully tell the people what it actually means to receive Christ and obey Him and live for Him, we would have fewer converts backsliding and foundering. Preachers who are not faithful one day will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and answer to a faithful Savior why they betrayed His people in this way!

  1. I am an atheist who most recently started to question my way of life. I struggle hard to define and understand faith, even though I want so badly to do so. I have tried to seek guidance in the many different religious scriptures from Christianity to Taoism. I am just in this constant struggle between trying to find faith which is in direct battle with my atheist beliefs. I will continue my journey to find where I belong, but I just wanted to thank you for your post.

      Thank You !!
By Gods will, maybe the post was put up for you today 🙂 I do pray so.
Thank you for reading it. I truly hope and pray you do find Him who died on the cross at Golgotha for our sin’s and iniquities.
      John 3:15-17 (Amplified Bible)
15 In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may [a]not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever!
16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([b]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
17For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.

May you find The Lord Jesus in the only true book the Bible. It is the only book that speaks the truth.

The mere fact that you are questioning your lack of faith in the true God, is evidence of the fact that the truth still eludes you. Please never stop that questioning, or your search for the truth. If you are truly convinced that there is something missing in the picture provided for by the atheist approach, which constitutes your understanding of this very short life, then you already have the evidence that you require.

If you are truly convinced that you should continue to search for faith, I assure you that thought was not of your own doing, it was a small voice instilled in your conscience by your Maker, and for that I, for one, am overjoyed on your behalf. Please give me a few minutes and read my ramblings below. I wrote them out of appreciation for your comment.

You do not know me and you have absolutely no reason to believe what I tell you. In actual fact, you have every reason to distrust what I say and to dismiss my words as the mutterings of, what the world perceives, to be the most deluded, self-centered sector of humanity, the Christians. I know that to be the case, because for over fourty years, I was a leading fool who perceived the Biblical believers to be fools and I had great admiration for any intellectual who could dispute their weird claims.

In addition, you have probably encountered hundreds, even thousands, of variations of professing Christians and churches claiming to be the source of the real truth about God, and that from within their ranks you would find the only real truth. That simply could not have added any respectability to the claims made in the Bible, in your mind I’m sure.

That is the reality. Blinded and deafened by the amazing intricacy of the developing world and all it’s advanced theories, it’s acquired intelligent ability to reason God out of the picture, we do not realize that we were all told that this would be so, very long ago. That is, believers and unbelievers alike. We have at our disposal, clear and authenticated reports in writing, that the world, and especially the intellectually advanced world, could never accept the Truth, because the unbelieving world is at a severe disadvantage, in having no spiritual ability.

Our complete and undiluted peace which comes with the absolute knowledge of having found the true God, can only be gained by us, if God instills indelibly in us, through the Holy Spirit, the ability to grasp the wonder of His glorious truth.

I hear what you say, that your quest to find faith is a serious and honest one, at least I hope I understand you correctly. Faith is the most precious gift, which God will give to you, without any doubt, if you seek Him for the right reasons, and those reasons must not include your own gain.

Here is mouthful of truth. If you come to realize that you are totally and utterly lost, like the rest of us are, and that you are at best, a worthless sinner who can do nothing about your place in eternity after this confusing life without God, and you accept God’s free offer of eternal life through believing in His Son, Jesus Christ, you will receive faith at no extra charge. You will be set free from the bondage which will forever be a burden on you, but not if you choose to continue to follow the teachings of men and to separate yourself from Him who lovingly sculpted you personally and blew the breath of life into your little baby lungs at birth. Pant, pant, swallow, digest. I know.

I don’t want to preach to you, I personally hate that and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to be preached to either. Most of us have a natural adversity to being preached to. It makes us feel insufficient, belittled and incompetent. I don’t want to make you feel that way. I would like you to come to realize it for yourself, as all who have faith have had to. You know another cool thing is that no man who knows the truth can ever preach to me again to tell me that I don’t know the truth. That’s a pretty powerful position I have been given by God, don’t you agree?

Please take a look at these verses, and while you do that, ask God simply to help you to understand what they need to say to you. I’ll do the same again.

1Co 2:9 But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”–
1Co 2:10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
1Co 2:11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
1Co 2:12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.
1Co 2:13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.
1Co 2:14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

Please get back to us some time, just let us know how things are with you and your world. Thank you so much for reading here. Know that you are loved without reserve.
